We are so grateful to Community West Foundation for their support of SVDP and our hunger centers. In March, they approved a grant to help with operating expenses at our three west side hunger centers: Brookside, Community Corner and St. Patrick. The goal of our west side hunger centers is to continue to meet a growing need for food among families and individuals, especially children, in these vulnerable neighborhoods on the west side of Cleveland.
Our hunger center program is coordinated by a small, dedicated staff and maintained by a series of generous volunteers. We hope to continue to enhance the quality of life and provide sustenance and hope for deserving families and individuals for many years to come.
Community West held a Grantee Open House that Jack Bedell, our Executive Director, and Kelly Shaw, Marketing and Development Manager attended. They were able to network with other NE Ohio nonprofit organizations and grantees that are doing amazing work.
We were honored to be included with the many other nonprofits that help make a difference in Cleveland.
